The advertised regular monthly meeting of the Latimore Township Park Board was held on January 5, 2005 at the Latimore Township Building at 559 Old U.S. Route 15 York Springs, PA 17372. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Chairman Samuel Giardullo.

No status of the Park Board Account was available.
Reorganization of Park Board -
Chairman: Samuel Giardullo - Motion Elwood Myers, Second Michael Juliana. Motion carried.
Vice Chairman: Elwood Myers - Motion Robert Garlin, Second Michael Juliana. Motion carried.
Secretary: Lynn Schoppaul - Motion Robert Garlin, Second Elwood Myers. Motion carried.

Old Business:
1. The township secretary will send the Little League and the Soccer League the forms concerning notification of field use regulations.
2. Status of the Park Grant - all forms have been submitted, notice should be received in March. The Park Board needs to contribute approximately $6,000.00 towards its share of the project.
New Business:
1. Review of projects for 2005 - The following projects are planned for 2005:
a. Signs for naming the fields - Elwood Myers reported the signs have been made
b. Playground Equipment - To be obtained with the help of a State Grant
c. Walking Trails - Funding must be obtained
d. Fence - Funding must be obtained
e. Baseball Field - Must be dressed
f. Temporary Multi-purpose Field - Needs to be prepared to be put into use
g. Advertising Signs - Michael Juliana reported the four existing signs are 30" x 24". The cost of painting new signs will be between $65 & $75 without a business logo, more if a logo is added. One of the businesses on the existing signs is out of business. It was proposed at a previous meeting to charge $180.00 per sign for one year of advertising. In addition to the four existing signs to be replaced, additional signs will be placed on the first base line fence. Elwood Myers and Michael Juliana will contact the local businesses and organizations about purchasing advertising signs.
2. A motion was made by Michael Juliana regarding charging a daily usage and maintenance fee for athletic fields. The motion was seconded by Elwood Myers. After discussion, the amended motion was passed. The amended motion reads as follows:
The Latimore Township Park Board requires all Athletic Leagues, Organized Athletic groups and Reserved Status Users to pay a $10.00 daily usage and maintenance fee for all designated fields, as defined in the Master Plan of 2004. The fee will be administered in conjunction with the terms defined in the scheduling requirements presently in effect for the Latimore Township Park.
3. A letter was received from Liz Chronister listing actions needed to clean up the arboretum area.
