COMMUNITY CRIME WATCH ASSOCIATION

MINUTES OF 02/26/04


     The February Latimore Township/York Springs Community Crime Watch Association Meeting was held at the York Springs Fire Department. The meeting was called to order at 7:34 PM by Myron Bird.

MINUTES:

     The minutes of the October meeting were read, and approved by the membership.

FINANCIAL REPORT:

     There was no financial report given

LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORT:

     Officer Weigand reported the following number of calls from 1/1/04 through 1/31/04:

Bermudian Springs School     
Lake Meade     
Latimore Township     
York Springs

for a total of 61 calls for January.

He also reported that the Health and Safety Day that is put on by Gettysburg Hospital will be held May 2nd at the All Star Complex.

YORK SPRINGS, DONNA KAPPER:


     No report available.

LAKE MEADE, BOB ZANGUENEH:

     Bob reported that the an article will appear is the Lake Meader about the Crime Watch Program.

LATIMORE TOWNSHIP, BUD HUBER:

     Bud voiced concern that we are not getting more people interested in the Crime Watch Program. We then discussed different ways that we might move forward with the program. There were different suggestions made like sending out newsletters, postcards, contacting Lions Clubs, JC's and other organizations. It was decided that the next scheduled meeting would be an organizational meeting, and we would put into place some of the ideas that were mentioned.


OLD BUSINESS:

     There was no December meeting.

NEW BUSINESS:

     No new business.

NEXT MEETING INFORMATION:

      The next meeting of the Crime Watch Association will be held at Lake Meade Firehouse at 7:30 PM April 29th.

With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 8:45 PM
