Regular Meeting
April 11, 2005


Chairman Daniel Worley called meeting to order and led everyone present in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Present: Chairman Daniel Worley, Vice-Chairman Larry Dost and Supervisor Elwood Myers

APPROVAL OF MINUTES AND TREASURER'S REPORT
Vice-Chairman Larry Dost made a motion to approve the minutes from the March 14, 2005 meeting and the treasurer's report of March 31, 2005.

VISITOR
Mr. Wilbur Slothour from Land and Sea Service wanted to introduce himself to the supervisors stating he is a certified Uniform Construction Code inspector and he would be available to talk with the supervisors should they decide to replace their existing inspectors with someone else. He then passed out to the supervisors his rate schedule and also informed them that the week of May 8th is National Building Week. Mr. Slothour also stated that he also works with another agency to do the industrial inspections and they are also his backup should he need them.

OPEN ROAD MATERIAL BIDS
The supervisors then opened all the bids for road materials and Chairman Worley made a motion to have the information compiled, reviewed by the Roadmaster and presented to the supervisors at the next meeting in May. Supervisor Myers seconded the motion. Motion approved.

COMMITTEE REPORTS
Gary Baker reported everything is running pretty smooth in the township. Supervisor Myers wanted to know why a police vehicle was speeding through Braggtown on Sunday with no siren going. Gary stated that it wasn't us because our car is in the garage. Vice-Chairman Dost wanted to know how many part-time officers are employed. Gary reported four in the pool, but only use two and mostly on weekends.

Chairman Worley reported the road crew has been doing side ditching on Baltimore Road, filling potholes, grading and putting stone done, trying to fix the water problem on Ridge Road and fixing the mower getting ready for mowing.

PLANNING COMMISSION - None

SOLICITOR REPORT - None

OLD BUSINESS - None

NEW BUSINESS
Advertise for oil and chip of roads and pave County Line Road - Chairman Worley made a motion to table until the next meeting until they award the bid for stone and oil. Chairman Myers seconded the motion. Motion approved.

BILLS LIST
Supervisor Myers made a motion to pay the bills as presented. Vice-Chairman Dost seconded the motion. Motion approved.

PUBLIC COMMENT
John Williams wanted to know which roads would be oil and chipped. Chairman Worley reported County Line, Wright Road to Braggtown, Mill Road, and Baltimore Road. He also reported a request for grant money for Hollow Road is being submitted to the Adams County Conservation District.

Jason Williams stated Plank Road looks good. Chairman Worley reported the crew plans to do more work on that road as soon as construction is completed.
Jason also reported potholes need to be filled. Chairman Worley asked Supervisor Myers to inform the road crew.
He also asked about Hollow Road. Chairman Worley reported they are going to apply special material on that road like they did last year on Town Hill.

Mrs. King wanted to know what is happening with the curfew ordinance. Chairman Worley stated we have put it on hold until we hear from Reading Township and take a look at their ordinance.

ADJOURNMENT
Chairman Worley made a motion to adjourn. Vice-Chairman Dost seconded the motion. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned.
